Hi
I purchased Gigatask under the email address of gadget268@cnonline.net from Handango on 6-9-03 and my Handango order number is 2695598.I can not get my new code from the Gigatask website because it tells me it does not remember my email address and I can not change it or get my new code. I have tried to contact support many times but have not gotten a response. Can anyone help.

#30: Installing on MDA Compact
Posted by Steph Peters on March 08, 2005 at 04:19:50 Back to Top
I downloaded the trial which is version 2.25. I installed Gigatask and the installation appears to proceed like any other. The Gigatask icon shows up in settings as it should. But when I go to the taskbar tab the No TaskBar button is selected and I can't select any of the choices - there is an error beep. So I have not been able to start GigaTask.

How do I get it to work?
I thought this could possibly be a conflict with other software, so I hard reset and tried the install again, but with the same results.

Same with me.
It seems that this company does not care anymore for their customers.

#25: GigaTask & iPAQ 6315
Posted by Terry G Phillips on November 26, 2004 at 11:53:35 Back to Top
GigaTask will display 3 active phone task that have been launched. This includes "T-mobile Phone", and both "Call History" and "Speed Dial" task launched from the dial pad. These are not visable from the WinCE Memory/Running Program List. Trying to close those task or "all background task" with GigaTask can produce some strange results. Any plans on fine tuning GigaTask for this device? - TIA - Terry

#24: Support for landscape mode?
Posted by Nicholas Kyrke-Smith on November 07, 2004 at 06:11:32 Back to Top
Hi, I purchased GigaTask for my iPaq rx3715. Obviously, it came with iTask installed, but I wanted to skin it etc. so purchased GigaTask to replace it. I'm pretty sure iTask would always show up in the bottom left corner of the screen whether you were in portrait or landscape mode. However, I can't get GigaTask to do this. Is there any way to get it to?

#23: Work with hi-res PDAs?
Posted by David Ramsey on September 30, 2004 at 10:52:44 Back to Top
I know you guys can write code that works with the HP 4700 and its 480x640 screen, 'cause iTask works fine.

But GigaTask displays a miniscule, scaled image.

When will GigaTask be updated?

#22: Back up GT Settings

How do I back up and restore the GT settings? It is a royal pain to recreate the GT menus after wiping my PDA (about every 6 months)

Thanks.

#21: Drop Down Menu Speed
Posted by Jeff Kelly on August 19, 2004 at 17:15:16 Back to Top
Hello,

Is there any way to speed up the drop down menus? There is about a 1-2 second delay after tapping one before it expands. I'd like to see the menus expand in terms of microseconds.

Thanks.

If I am not mistaken you have to register to enable those options.

I'm experiencing the same thing. Kind of hard to evaluate the software if the whole thing does not work.

Sounds like you installed Battery Pack. By default the Battery Pack Power Task button is turned on. To turn it off go to Power Adjust (the icon in Program Bar looks like a sheet of paper with an option button on it. Remove the checkmark from "Power Task button & Menu".

I just installed another program involving a soft reset and lost GT menus at top right of Today screen. Either have blank or red box with white cross. Any ideas?

It used to be that the trial was fully functional for awhile, then only the basic functions would work. Has this changed?

#13: Re: GigaTaskTrial
Posted by Fuzzy John on March 27, 2004 at 19:18:00 Back to Top
If I remember right, that is a restriction in the trial. Once you register GigaTask you will get full functionality.

I downloaded (twice)GigaTask as a trial from Handango. I am not getting the complete program. In GigaTask settings, as an example, tap on taskbar. The only active button is "no Taskbar. The other buttons do not work.

Same way with the Skins button. Skin is default--nothing else.

What's up? By the way, I have a Jornada 568 that I am trying to keep in use one more year.

Thanks

Alas, the Phone application really doesn't like to be closed.

The next generation of iTask / GigaTask is in the lab right now. With a bit of luck, this little problem will get resolved.

When using in pro mode gigatask will not close the dial pad .I have to select Today from the start menu to get out of the dial pad.Holding the x button lists multiple entries of 'phone'. If i hold the x button on the Today screen the XDA freezes. Any solutions.

I just installed the latest download of GigaTask on my new HP iPAQ H2215 and I went to the re-registration page. After entering the current email and the ID Code shown in the About window I clicked the "Send New Key" button and all seemed OK. However I am not receiving that email with the new key.

You can always reinstall from your original download, and enter the Key
that you received at that time. I'll send a copy by email.
